Week 12 – Piggy Bank Bottle & Bazaar

Our last class. I was so happy and sad at the same time. To new beginnings =)!

Again, bring in another recycled plastic bottle. Make sure the plastic is hard. Cut a small slit along the side of the bottle big enough to fit coins through. Then decorate the bottle to your liking. Our example is a mouse that can be made by using cut pipe cleaners as whiskers, googly eyes for eyes, colored construction paper for the body cut to size, pom poms for the legs and arms. All of this can be glued together with a hot glue gun.

For the Bazaar, students laid out their semesters work into an area for everyone at the school to see. This is to encourage students who weren’t in the course to do this at home and to promote the concept of recycling at the school. Pictures below.
